With the generous contributions made by so many of our friends, Stony Hill Stables Foundation is happy to announce that we will be awarding five equestrian scholarships to local youth for the upcoming season.
We are looking for children who love horses and are motivated and driven to learn equestrian skills. Academic achievements, leadership positions, athletic and community activities as well as financial need are taken into account during the selection process. Hamptons residency is required.

Scholarships will be awarded for the Summer 2024 season and will include 10 half hour private lessons and 10 one hour group lessons.
Scholarship recipients come from a large pool of candidates and unfortunately, not every applicant will win a scholarship this year. We welcome applicants to apply again next year if they are not awarded a scholarship at this time.
Our goal is to advance horsemanship education, good sportsmanship, knowledge of horse care and social connections with others through lessons, competition and clinics. Scholarships are tailored to each applicant based on their level of experience and ability. Each year, we create a program for our scholarship students that will help them realize their dreams!

Investing in our future
Established in 2012, the Stony Hill Stables Foundation is a not-for-profit program established to offer scholarship equestrian training for local residents. The scholarship includes training lessons over a four month or longer semester. Training includes hunter/jumper equitation or dressage training, horse care, clinics, and competitive show activity. The goal is to promote equine sports, riding education, and good sportsmanship providing local children and adults a healthy, enhancing life experience.
Stony Hill Stables Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) program providing a unique atmosphere for children and adults to become skilled in equine sports, build friendships and connect to the East End Community.

SHS Foundation benefit Recap
Here are photos from the Stony Hill Stables Foundation's spectacular benefit cocktail party. Guests included donors, past scholarship recipients, future scholarship candidates and members of the public curious about the programs offered by the foundation. The benefit was meticulously put together by a board of members who excellently orchestrated two dressage demonstrations from farm owner, Wick Hotchkiss and her friend Stephanie Brown-Beamer also of Long Island. Students and previous scholarship winners also gathered to perform a drill team demonstration with ten horses. Lastly, Stella Bilman and her pony Otter gave an engaging jumping demonstration for viewers to enjoy. All in all the evening was a great success for all involved and helped to raise an exceptional amount to donate towards future scholarships. Thank you to all involved for your hard work and dedication to produce such a lovely event!
